2010 U.S. Lacrosse Michigan Scholarship Winners
The 2010 U.S. Lacrosse Michigan Scholarships have been awarded. We had a large number of applications this year, reflecting lots of great lacrosse student-athletes. The following four persons were awarded scholarships:
Joey McCormick (Okemos/University of Michigan) Betsey VanWieren (Okemos/University of Michigan)
Melanie Parke (Grosse Pointe South/University of Michigan)
All applicants had fabulous credentials, and these four stood out. The scholarship winners will be presented with certificates at the USLM Hall of Fame games, at Detroit Country Day School, Saturday, June 19. Their scholarships ($500 each) will be funded upon their enrollment in a Michigan college or university.
A reminder about the Hall of Fame Day (June 19 at Detroit Country Day School): the women’s high school graduating senior Hall of Fame Game will be held at 1:00 and the men’s at 3:00. The scholarship winners, as well as our 2010 Hall of Fame inductees, will be honored at approximately 2:30. Congratulations to the scholarship winners, and best wishes to all scholarship applicants.
